Don't understand what your measuring stick for "schedule blows" is? Last season was worse.
If our first goal is to win the division and 3 out of our 4 toughest in conference games are at home (CINN away)
then I wouldn't say the schedule blows.
But if you think our non-conference games define our schedule then you say what you say.
The reality of the situation is we need to take care of business within our conference first
or we lose recruits (who say they came to play for a team that wins championships) and
the ability to attract attention for P5 expansion in the future.
From a more down to earth, reality check viewpoint (we're not a perennial powerhouse), our schedule is very good,
considering the many seniors that graduated this year. We need the extra time for new
position players to get experience in September winning at home so that we are ready for our
AAC schedule. Truth is this season isn't one in which we have the best, most experienced
players on the field who are ready to shock high level competition. We don't even know how
our offensive line is going to work out or our defensive secondary.
Lastly, watching UCF beat Houston, ECU and USF never gets old for me and we have more of a
chance of doing that at home
When we beat these teams consistently, its time to say I'm bored.
