It's really pretty amazing that it took less than a year, but all of his major policy proposals are now in the trash. Manchin said "no way" to BBB. Sinema just now said "no way" to the federal voting rights bill and to killing the filibuster.

Unfortunately this probably means the heavy hand of executive orders is about to come down, but at least those can be temporary and a lot of states will just ignore them anyway.


Biden may go down as the most ineffective president in history.

Yeah, he basically negotiated with them for months, they compromised on several things to appease him, and he knew very well he was never going to vote for it. This is nothing more than playing to his donors over the citizens of his state. And you are right, he has played to his own family's financial interest several times throughout his career, most notably probably the epipen ordeal several years ago. I am sure Republicans love him about now, but he is 100% the definition of a bought and paid for politician.

I don't like Manchin, and I don't feel I need to lambast even a 'career politician' -- a professional I'd normally despise -- just because he's pushing senile. Biden's career shouldn't be demonized, and Manchin isn't above criticism.

Granted, Biden has given into the Soviet-drivel that is going to turn our domestic investment into a Greece-like economic system. And I will utterly despise him for that. But Biden did spend many of his 5 decades learning to compromise prior.

That's why a lot of Democratic and even some Republican voters ended up voting for him, even if even less minorities did than in prior elections ... even worse than Hillary, who was despised by many minorities.
