Snake Oil!!

I was just reading a similar story off a friends post. That is definitely some scary crap right there. You literally have no idea what you are buying.

Hooray for unregulated industry!
The "free market" at work!

I've done this many times. Take a bottle of whatever, type in the main ingredients, and read over the medical review journals as to whether or not the shit does anything. WebMD had an entire section for "medicinal alternatives" that show what has, and hasn't, been proven via actual medical studies vs what the product claims.

By someone taking a mere 5 minutes to look on the 1,000 resources available, we avoid costly and unnecessary regulatory controls.

THAT'S TOO HARD!*

Ps- there is already regulation for selling something that knowingly is false- it's called fraud, and it's unlawful under existing United States law.

It applies to every indstury throughout the entire country.

Stick with the brands with the best reputation. Swanson Vitamins has the highest quality stuff at great prices. It doesn't surprise me about GNC. They sell their garbage at the highest price - and as shown - poor quality. Wallyworld was a surprise though. Very poor QC standards.

People will always lie and cheat to make $$. Drug companies do it, natural herbals do it, global warming scientist do it. Nothing new, you need to use your own common sense.
