So, at this point, it would seem Nick Patti is our backup QB?

He's not showing at all that he is. That's why it's always good to overrecruit. You can't have too many QBs in the pros or in college. Look at Ohio State last year. Guys get injured, transfer, or aren't any good. Like Dinovo and possibly Harris now.
Bo will be on campus for summer A schedule. June or July. I would hate for them to burn a redshirt but if Holman has problems or gets injured it might have to happen. Patti has not looked good this spring many of his passes get tipped or knocked down at the line. As for Harris his passes often look like dead ducks....he has been very flat and does not show energy or the will to learn. Just my opinion.

in observing 2 practices(where you are close to the players), I don't think Patti looks like a big time FBS(if you play for any 1A school you're big time) QB. The guy is obviously shorter than most any qb's, and his legs are very stocky. He just doesn't fit the position. If I didn't know, I would think he was a fullback, which, if he gained a little more weight would be a good position for him. Maybe if UCF runs the ball 75 percent of the time and he is playing(due to Holman being hurt), UCF might be okay. Just not a lot of confidence in him.
I remember alot of guys on this forum acting all butthurt when Patti chose BSU.
If Harris really isn't able to jump over Patti by game one.....then the coaching staff has regressed back to 2008 when they had trouble recruiting the RIGHT QBs and coaching up what they had.
So if Patti is the backup we are one injury away from a 4-5 win season.
Remember, Holman was the "other" QB in his class, just like Blake.
Funny Harry Potter....err Troy Green reset.....do I have to remind people that Paxton Lynch was begging for a scholarship and we gave it to Green instead?

with Holman we are still a 4 loss team...that isnt good when u are supposed to be getting 4 star QB's.
