I prefer common sense and realistic expectations, not this BS I'm seeing. Remember, other student-athletes read our boards too.Do you have a kid on the team? You take the internet WAY too seriously.
Posters on this forum are notably and reasonably upset with an up and coming program's performance and you come on here and throw progressive comments about how everything is kum-baya and we will be good again in three years, and that we need to stop targeting 'our guy/teens/kids/players'.
We're SUCH BAD people for criticizing players. They're adults, too. They'll live and grow; I'm sure of it.
Some of us prefer tough love over coddling the players- you can get over it.

You guys are like the a-holes who criticize a date, not realizing you're not only telling those women who you really are ... but other women too.
Seriously ... this is not about "oh, our student-athletes are too fragile to handle the heat." This is about recognizing what is within the realm of possibility, and focusing on that, instead of just unloading your own butthurt, let alone the total load of BS that does nothing to help anything.
Honestly ... we don't need those type of fans. And, frankly, some of you won't be sticking around either, so the problem will eventually solve itself, at least mostly.
Oh no, quite the opposite! You have no idea who I am, how many coaches houses I've been to for dinner, or how much the GKC gets from my pay check.
Don't cash in your chips thinking you know exactly who is on this forum 'being mean'.
Oh no, quite the opposite!
It sounds like you're in big time! You just got into UCF, and now you're upset because you've paid quite a bit of money to be around 0-2 "losers" who cannot perform, because they have a coaching staff that is too old skool and seemingly just plain senile. So once you're done ranting, you're going to let others know too ... because you want it solved NOW ... your way!
I'm just a 26 season fan who started going to games as a freshman, watched 3 different coaching staffs, a lot of differences in programs off-the-field as much as on, and have my own idea of "expectations." And I know others who are 30+ seasons, well beyond me.
You just summed up everything right there! So you went through 18 years of garbage, 6 years of mediocrity, and a few years of awesome....well I guess you're a super-fan, then! You've got it all figured out.
I don't know what you are. If you would like to enlighten me and explain where you are coming from, I'm more than happy to listen. You called me out on not knowing who you are or what coaches you meet. Then explain it to me.I'm just a lowly 'new-fan' who donates way too much and expects way too much.
In fully admission, back when I joined the board in 2007 (was a holder for years before then), I got the shock of what a more "social" board like this is. So I cannot say much about my first experiences on Rivals.Good thing I didn't just start using the internet today or I might be upset.
Taj showed more explosiveness than Stanback or Wilson have all last season and week 1. Exhibit A on why UCF needs to recruit South Florida again
The pass protection issues come with experience.
What about Exhibit B where UCF recently put RB's from Upstate NY and Georgia in the NFL?
Great players can be discovered everywhere.
Geez. It's not an either or K_L. It's possible to recruit both area at the same time. We recently had success with a bunch of players from there (Hall, Reese, Worton, Godfrey), why not go back to the well?
