Soccer Stadium rendering

The proposed sports village would feature a soccer-specific stadium, designed to attract amateur all-star events and warm weather training for professional teams; renovations to FBC Mortgage Stadium, also known as the “Bounce House,” and Addition Financial Arena; the county’s first intercollegiate track and field facility; baseball training facility updates and an international broadcast center.

UCF’s presentation said the new and renovated facilities would attract 2.1 million out-of-area visitors over 10 years, with $910 million in economic impact.”

Ok Terry seems to be cheap at times so creating a soccer specific facility doesn’t seem efficient to me

Is this only if they get tourist tax money? a renovation where soccer and track still share seems to make more sense
The track facility might actually get their attention imo. Those youth tournaments bring a lot of money with out of state visitors.

Soccer potential is way under valued at the collegiate level. Having a nice little soccer stadium and a nice practice facility in Orlando could bring so many opportunities to UCF. Professional teams from around the world could train there in the winter, youth tournaments, high school state playoffs, etc.

Possibly, depending on the cost of renting out a 26,000 stadium compared to a 4-5 thousand seat stadium- not sure of the stadium capacity for the new UCF stadium. Lots of European teams of all levels spend part of their off season in Florida.

Love the idea of a soccer-specific stadium. Having the track around the field has high school vibes.

Is that a tiny Citronaut logo in the bottom right corner of that UCF presentation to Orlando's government?
