Socialists are not liberal...first off. Socialism is the anti-thesis of Liberalism. Just ask Tibetan and Taiwanese Liberals and their fight against the Chinese.

Smh. The founder of the primise of taxation for the purpose of redistribution is Marx. Socialism is the bedrock of communism, a system born from collective/communal values that Marx fell in love with in his upbringing learning the history of Asia. His manifesto is largely based on religious fundamentals from Confusianism, Taoism and a splash of both Buddhism and Shinto. Anyone pushing a Marxist form of governance is pushing Eastern Collectivism and spiritualism and calling it "secular". Socialism is no different than Zealous Evangelical Christianity as it seeks ideological homegeniety and openly condemns and admonishes those that wish to not participate. Socialism is a dogmatic religion that replaces a deity of focus found in other dogmatic ideologies with Government. It is a faith, a blind one too. It is largely based on some idea that the future can be predicted with absolute certainty, and a fervor that implies it is already known...an impossibility. Followers continue to push the faith that central authority can "fix" everything and being an individual with countering opinions, beliefs and culture "deters progress". The religion also suggests that we join a collective so that it benefits all and if you don't, you are imprisoned.

Na...I prefer liberal freedoms...in the absolute, truist sense of the word. Socialism is an economic shackle that leads to the monopolization of the means of production by one entity and removes the right of choice.
