Bottom of the 1st for UCF, first 4 batters 3 singles and a home run...yep, our girls are good. Unfortunately one of the girls was injured running the bases.

Semi OT: Without the money involved in female sports it feels a little more authentic and seems like the athletes have a little more love for the game.
Some excellent execution in all areas. Looking forward to next week

It was a 3 run homer but who's counting. Our leadoff hitter singled followed by another single but our leadoff never made it to 2nd. She either turned her ankle or tore something (hope not). She was on the ground between first and second in the base path in pain so the outfielder threw to 2nd for a force out. The next batter singled and then a 3 run homer. Ball game over. Great start except for the injury.

I noticed she walked out to celebrate with the rest of the team under her own power right after UCF won, so that’s a good sign. She was moving slowly, but it was something serious like and Achilles or knee injury, I don’t think she would have walked out of the dugout to bounce around in the pile with the rest of the team. Fingers crossed (and the girl in LF that replaced her was incredible defensively - and got a hit).
Kind of OT: just turned on the Oklahoma vs Oklahoma St. BIG12 championship game and there is like 10,000 people at the ballpark.
Can’t wait until we play in games with that kind of electricity in all sports.

Was it in Oklahoma? We won’t get 10 K but today’s game would have had a decent turnout if in Florida.
Thanks for the correction. Was trying to pay attention to the game while working and, I guess, I wasn't paying close attention to the action.
Also, why was the game only 5 innings long? Mercy rule? Had to drop off some paperwork for a client, come back, and the game was already over.

Sounds neutral. Both teams could travel there. If ours was in Tampa a good amount would have made the trip.
It would be nice to see UCF win a national championship in some other than video game programming or cheerleading.
