Someone asked me at a coaches meal once, what would it take for me to no longer support UCF FOOTBALL (I will always support my alma mater) ?

I looked them dead in the eyes and said, "Once Viacom (who owns Disney and ESPN) accepts UCF as their home team and we start winning bc of that relationship, I'm done.

Look, UCF needs real fans like me, right now. Sometime in future, I don't know when, UCF will be an elite program. When that happens we will be given games we didn't win. All the big names in football will flock to UCF to have that advantage. Then those big names will only be concerned about money- not the fans. They will only be concerned about tshirt sales, not the fans. They will attract bandwagoners, not true fans. They will close practices to the public and that will be the death of having a whole fan base be true fans. Then, I will be done.

However, I'm enjoying the journey to that point."

They exclaim! "But what will you do? Not watch cfb? Let the passion die?"

I look them dead in their eyes and say, "I will follow and support a program with hope, commitment, and conviction."

Bump in the journey, boys. We played against 13 players- USC, the refs, and Brent Key. I hate to say it, but I was calling that Brent Key was the worst coaching hire we ever made in the preseason. Some of you might have thought it, but I said it.

Joining FBS was the biggest mistake in the history of this program then.

Bandwagoners, player talent, winning games, t-shirt sales, sponsors, and MONEY are what makes a program elite.

Good thing that's only you're opinion. Your post above only makes for childrens movies with happy endings. Not real life.

You looked him dead in the eyes a lot. Did it get creepy/awkward?
I doubt he'd look this guy dead in the eyes and thinks he'll get away with it.
