He’s preparing a key piece for the season. If Bowser is going to get 20+ carries a game, he needs to be prepared for that type of workload. He’s going to be the workhorse and will be needed against a much better and bigger team next week. You don’t want him going in cold.

I’m sure Gus and Bowser want to to get him some stats too, but just wasn’t happening. He’s trying to get drafted, I’m sure he wants the flashy numbers and this was a game to get some of that.
With that said, he looked a little slow to hit the holes. He hasn’t played live all spring/fall, he needed the reps just like everyone.

O'Keefe taking end arounds and plowing at full speed into defenders and straining for extra yards in the second half of a blowout also had me squirming a bit. Looks like we lucked out without anything significant, right?
