I know this is a moon shot (all puns intended) but could some of our esteemed alum suggest this with their management? It would be assume PR and I wouldn’t mind even a TV timeout during the launch. It would be great PR and exposure for all parties, even a NIL deal with one of the space programs at a nominal value would do wonders for UCF announced at or just before the game.

I would love for this to happen but I think people over state the benefit to the space companies. They have little incentive to do it and logistics make it really hard to do.

Tell you what. I will do it..I will go down to my local hobby store and buy the biggest Estes Rocket I can find. Hopefully one that takes the D engine because then you know it will go up high. I will paint it black with a canaveral blue stripe or nose cone. Then I will go east of the stadium ,maybe the softball lot and launch it. sometimes you just got to take charge. 😆. I just need a signal or something from somebody inside the stadium as to when to launch it .

When I was a kid, my dad and I built an Estes rocket that had a "payload" in it. The payload was a lizard we caught. The rocket worked and the lizard was clinging to the parachute on the ground afterwards. We let the lizard go and he scuttled off. Hell of a thing. Might not be able to get away with that today, though - this was circa 1988.
