Spring Game "Draft" and new Uniforms on the horizon

As per the Sentinel this years spring game the players will be chosen in a mock draft by "OC Troy Walters and DC Erik Chinander. From reading the article it sounds like theres a lot of buzz and excitement about the Spring game from a lot of the players on the team.

A couple cliffs notes from the article...

-Discussion about a formal cafeteria or training table to help with player nutrition
-Since implementing Coach Frost's new conditioning regimen the O-line has added lean mass and shed some fat
-Nike is opening up their resources to us and as such, new Jerseys and possibly up to 4 new helmet designs are in the mix.

Lot's of great news coming in this spring about not just the spring game but with the players themselves. From my perspective it sounds like they are really loving the new coaching staff and have found love for the game again! I'm super stoked about the spring game and definitely looking forward to seeing our boys out there in the Fall again.

On a side note, I know I should temper my expectations as rebuilding from last season for any coaching staff at any school would be an uphill battle no matter what but I can't help from putting on the Black and Gold glasses. I still haven't reached for the koolaid yet so I'll keep my expectations in check at least until after we play Michigan.

Hoping for some real and bold gold (need to get away from the off-white / light tan). UCF should use the same gold it uses for it's print and digital materials, etc. The "metallic gold" / vegas gold serves no good purpose for representing UCF. Eliminate white and tan as representative UCF colors. Give us something that's fun, bold, and exciting to represent our school and teams. We could even find ways to integrate orange and green (Citronaut - without using the Citronaut) into our colors. White, tan, and black are just blase. Come on Coach Frost...you can do this!

The new uniform designs will be awesome and there will be much more variety than the standard 3 colors black/white/baby food gold that GOL instated. During a conversation I was told " [...] and we're dealing with all the different uniforms the coach wants to do every week!"

I'm assuming Frost is carrying over his experience with player hype (as you can see from the spring practices) as well as recruitment and recruit hype into our uniform game which is great - bringing UCF into the 21st century.

even w fast metabolism love the attention to these little details if the whole team buys in. Better fitness, less in game cramps, and hopefully less injuries.
