Finally, a cooler/cloudy day. Would have been a perfect day to be outside, but the team headed indoors for their fourth workout. Team was in full pads, but "thud" contact (no full tackling).

Warmup music was "Eye of the Tiger."

West Orange had a bunch of players at the practice.

Spotted quite a few former players including Jeff Godfrey, Jordan McCray, Justin McCray, Terrance Plummer, Josh Reese, Breshad Perriman, Justin Tukes, Rannell Hall and Torrian Wilson. Pro Day is tomorrow (which is closed). I almost didn't recognize Reese at first - he has quite an impressive beard going on.

Practice actually ended a bit early - GOL cut it off when they maybe could have gone another 15 minutes.

In terms of observations, I continue to be encouraged by Pete DiNovo's transition to wide receiver. I wasn't watching him the entire day (lots of times multiple drills are going on simultaneously) but I never saw him drop a pass. As others have noted, Pete has pretty good wheels. He's compared to Calabrese, but he's got way more speed.

Coaches don't mess around on false starts. Colby Watson committed one, and was immediately replaced with Luke Palmer at RG.

Good news on WR Chris Davis. If you were at Saturday's practice, you saw him go down with an apparent knee injury. If you recall, he's coming off the ACL surgery and is wearing a brace this spring. I think it may have been more of a mental thing with him when he landed on it. He's totally fine and was practicing today.

Speaking of WRs, Tre'Quan Smith had his jersey upgraded from a red to a yellow one so hopefully he gets out there soon.

Afterward, a few of us spoke with offensive coordinator Brent Key. Some juicy scoop: He's a big fan of the "The Royals" on the E Network.

Taylor Oldham commented on the faster tempo the other day. Key does want a faster tempo and it's not nearly as fast as he wants it to be yet.

Chavis Dickey also did his first official UCF media interview. He did pretty well, I can see him being a "spokesman" type for the OL for the years to come.
