UCF's seventh practice of spring was held indoors inside the Nicholson Fieldhouse. Since one of the 15 days is a light walk-through before the spring game, this represents the halfway point.
Warmup music: "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.
GOL promised depth chart changes after Saturday and he delivered. Here's what was new:
-There's a new No. 1 RT. Charles Sprenkel, a redshirt sophomore walk-on from Delray Beach. GOL said he's been doing well. Chavis Dickey slid over to RG, and Colby Watson was bumped down. The rest of the first team OL remained the same (C Jason Rae, LG Tarik Cook, LT Aaron Evans).
-Some shuffling at LB: Your new first team is Errol Clarke (mike), Chequan Burkett (sam) and Justin McDonald (will). Domenic Spencer moved down to second team.
-Additionally, DT Lance McDowdell was promoted to first team replacing Demetris Anderson. Afterward, both GOL and Bresnahan were complimentary of McDowdell's progress.
Team was wearing shorts, so no contact. Nick Patti had a solid day, looked very crisp with his delivery. He appears to be a solid No. 2. Tre'Quan Smith did get out there a little bit, though still wearing the yellow jersey. Some nice runs from the RBs, but again, no contact.
OL Brett Heggie of Mount Dora (a center) was at the practice.
