Team practiced outdoors today in shorts. GOL maybe was hanging around Rooney because he too has lost his voice. He can still yell, but the volume has been turned way down.

Tre'Quan Smith is still in yellow, but is participating. This was the first day I thought he made an impact with several nice hauls, the highlight of which was a beautiful 35-yard throw from Holman.

Those shorts are quite loose, so you've got to watch how you "tackle." Mark Rucker "pantsed" Jordan Akins coming across the middle. To his credit, Akins kept going and didn't let that stop him.

Later, Holman connected with Akins for a long "touchdown." (There's no contact, everything is "thudded up" so I'm being a bit generous in calling it a TD).

Another highlight was TE Kevin Miller fending off tight coverage from MLB Errol Clarke, keeping concentration and bringing in the pass even after a deflection.

Later, Clarke did make some plays in the backfield on runs.

Saw some DL shuffling today, not sure if it's a depth chart thing or rotation. We'll see how it looks on Saturday. At one point, Seyvon Lowry was getting first team reps at DE.

A few recruits on hand: 2016 teammates from Lake Wales, OL Blake Vinson from Ocala Trinity Catholic. Vinson will be one of the top players in 2017. Biancardi and Dunn have a few offers, but not one from UCF yet.
