Should be great in September and October for the noon kickoffs. It's all about the fan experience to keep the money coming in.
Lazy river funds are separate. In his tweet Tmo seems to say he's considering adding shade as part of the stadium project.
About time they changed that commercial too... They bled that thing dry since 1992. Kept overdubbing the price...
Honestly though? A retractable weather-proof canvas or vinyl system isn't a bad idea, might be cheaper and more pragmatic when it comes to inclement weather and Hurricanes.

I do believe using a "sail" design where the shade is retractable MIGHT be a good solution...can retract on high-wind days, etc.
I was thinking when UCF adds shade, usf will still "bite" on the idea and add to their's also...but since they have a habit of writing their own punchlines...it may end up like this:

I'm thinking in adding a transition between the field and walls to reduce the reflection of the sun. Add some trees along the perimeter to soften the sea of aluminum.
Having just survived a bout with melanoma I feel this is imperative. Cancer damage is cumulative.
I'm going through the chop-chop-scoop thing myself...luckily pre-cancers. But I am high-risk.
Good luck! The scars from having my lymph nodes removed are well worth it. It is sad they have to remove the associated lymph nodes just to check if they are cancerous. Hopefully one day there will be a blood test or scan that could detect lymph node cancer.
People worry about GMO food, getting into car accidents, etc...when the most lethal thing a person can come into contact with on a daily basis is the sun. That's not an exaggeration.
Absolutely. My wife was always after me to use sunscreen and wear a hat. I now take her advice much more seriously. If I'm too lazy to put on sun screen I'll wear long sleeves and long pants but I always wear a hat now.
Great topic...I posted a poll on The Dungeon pay board asking if you could only chose one, would you rather have shade on the stadium, or the north side expansion ('wings' for students)...The results so far with 173 responses - 83.2% prefer shade, 16.8% prefer north side expansion...Make it happen TMO!
As a guilded/apprenticed sound-engineer that loves using dobo, you know that stadium would be the loudest in the southeast at field level with awnings. ...
And MUCH cooler...
And LESS thermal wear (overall) on the metal due expansion/contraction at joints/supports...
And less-time in sun, ANY less time in the sun aides in fighting skin cancer for people of ALL complexions, not just fair-skinned folk.
This is a logical move.
