Rest him for Navy and usf. If the goal is save his redshirt , Gus could start MK for the next two games and if we win both those sit him. Win the next two and start him for conference championship. That's 4 games played and redshirt saved .
I actually think MK reads defenses better than JRP and he throws a better pass. Now I don't get paid to make these decisions so not being critical of either JRP, Gus or MK. We all saw how crisp MK was Saturday and if the young man wants to preserve his redshirt , I think this strategy of starting him the next two weeks and then sitting him is a best of both worlds. I realize you don't build offensive continuity with this strategy ,but again I point to Saturday and Mikey's play making skills stepping in cold .
