There was no other responsible choice then to continue with JD in our first year in the Big 12.( It wouldn’t be fair to a new coach either.) I think u play this season out and evaluate it. U survey the lay of the land, the Big 12. U see what u need and u make directive decisions then. Doing it before the season puts a new guy with great unknowns and not a chance Sets up a bad feeling that may never change on the new guys watch. I hope that JD succeeds as that means UCF succeeds If they fail with no reason to believe of future success u make the change with more actual Big 12 info. I think the strategy is the right move, we would not succeed ( record wise) this year under any coach. IMO
