Stop empowering these crooks

We need to regulate away the ability for individual stock ownership at these levels. Nothing is ever going to be perfect and you can always leak information to your kids or friends, but that would be a good start.
It's a small sacrifice if you want to be a public servant. Generally speaking, legitimate anti-corruption legislation is something that will have political support by both party bases. But it's going to take scandals of ludicrous proportions for it to actually get done. This is one of those issues that really shows the flaws in our system. This kind of stuff polls at like 80%+ consistently.
When some on this board talk about the "elite" protecting themselves, I think this is a legitimate example of what that really is in practice.
