Nothing new for me, as I've always regarded Miami as a cesspool shithole that should be avoided at all costs.

But now a study has scientifically proven this by ranking Miami the worst place to live. Beating out Detroit!

We stayed there last year during the game at South Carolina and fell in love. It had been about 30 years since I'd been to Charleston, but I couldn't remember much. We can't wait to go back. It's an amazing place for foodies, etc.

In the late 80's through the mid 90's my wife worked for the Miami Herald, she absolutely hated Miami. Too many New Yorkers, too many Euro's, too many South Americans and no one assimilates, they all stick to their own group. She said that dating was nearly impossible unless you spoke multiple languages. She said the day she moved to Tampa was one of her happiest.

Now I was born in Miami but never really lived there as we moved when I was very young. I have done business in Miami for over 20 years now and again and I view it like NYC. Its a great place to visit, but its a better place to leave when your visit is over.
