Given what we have seen thus far in terms of radio/tv personalities discussing B12 expansion, along with their rather impressive ignorance on the candidates, I believe someone on this board may actually be able to do something to help.
I believe an easy to read info-graphic that shows UCF's relative benefits to the B12 as a member would be extremely useful, and it could also be used to help dispel some of the myths that we continuously see about our school and program. For example, the "commuter school" myth that we have seen kicked around for far too long. If the infographic includes the number of beds on campus with a reference to the same percentage (18%) of students living on campus as UT-Austin, I think that information would be powerful.
It could/should also include things like:
98% capacity sold against P5 teams at BHNS
Stadium designed to be easily expandable (unlike Nippert, which is maxed out)
TV market figures
FTIC academic profile, which rivals many other schools generally held in higher esteem by the uneducated public.
Acceptance rate.
Rankings on things like APR.
A mention of how we are one of 8 teams to win whatever amount of games in whatever the span was that GOL mentioned
Etc.
I think you get the drill.
Of course, the primary reason for this isn't so much to just post it around here and on message boards, as much fun as that may be. I would recommend that this infographic be tweeted/sent to any radio/tv personality prior to any B12 segment, as I suspect they may actually use the information therein during their segment. These people are obviously not intelligent (on the whole), and we really need to hold their hand when it comes to discussing our alma mater. I understand that the actual "decision makers" are allegedly more competent; however: (1) I'm not convinced that they are; and (2) It sure couldn't hurt to persuade some media types along with a few more of your casual CFB fans.
Something to think about, and now y'all can go ahead and flame me and say that we just need to STFU and let our admin do their job, blah blah blah.
