Supreme Court temporarily blocks felons from voting in Florida

If your party needs to rely on impeding people from voting to win an election then your party's platform isnt aligned with the actual will of the people.

If every american voted, republicans would be forced to shift left to approach 50% and be competitive. Instead of being a representative government they choose to use voter supression to inflict minority rule on american citizens.

Or maybe the people don't understand how great conservative principles are and how much they would like them even if they must be forced upon the people. *

Its the correct ruling, but I do hope that the law is changed. If it had gone the other way then the precedent could have been very far reaching. This is a good example of where a "conservative" ruling is the correct one.

People wanted the law changed.
If I remember correctly, this is the text of the amendment that we voted on: “No. 4 Constitutional Amendment Article VI, Section 4. Voting Restoration Amendment This amendment restores the voting rights of Floridians with felony convictions after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole or probation. The amendment would not apply to those convicted of murder or sexual offenses, who would continue to be permanently barred from voting unless the Governor and Cabinet vote to restore their voting rights on a case by case basis.”

Notice that it says all terms of their sentence, which would include fines, fees, and restitution. Nowhere in there did it say non-financial terms. It should go back to a vote if you want to exclude the financial parts of the sentences.

felons = democRATS PLAIN AND SIMPLE. If there was really a movement to create a pathway to getting back and contributing to society, reinstating voting rights would be on the back burner. Try--maybe, being eligible for certain business permits, etc. Being able to vote is minuscule..... But, it was voted upon clearly....

But all of Trump's associates have been convicted. I wonder how many of the people working on this Trump campaign will end up in jail.

Maybe you should wonder why your party and it’s platform appeals so heavily to rapists, drug dealers, attempted murderers, and thieves?

A better question is why does your favorite administration of all time have a higher felon conviction rate than the US population?

Republicans would be almost extinct if it wasn't for voter suppression. It is a prime tenet of their platform.
