70 dead and hundreds more suffocating per watch groups on the ground
Funny since we were assured that Syria had removed all chemical weapons in 2013.

Something seems fishy about this. Assad has to know that if he does this, he's gonna end up getting deposed. I have to wonder if this isn't another rebel faction that got ahold of one of the stockpiles. Either that or Russia is still trying to provoke the US into fighting another war we can't afford.
I suppose maybe he doesn't. It just seems odd that he would be so brash as to cross this line now that trump is in office. It was understandable when he knew that there would be no recourse but I can't believe he would test these waters now.Why would Assad care? He’s murdered over 100,000 people so far and he’s still there
He did it a year ago (4/2017) and all Trump did was throw away $60M. Tomorrow he’ll blow up some warehouses after we tell them to evacuate and take anything that is somehow valuable with themI suppose maybe he doesn't. heard we launched a bunch of tomahawk missiles at them last night. any word if that were true?
Nope. It was Israeli fighter jets.
Nope, Wayne was right. the israeli viper strike was in response to an Iranian UAV that Israel claimed violated their airspace.

The tomahawks were in response to the last time the US alleged Assad used gas.

Sorry, @Bob the Knight and @Crazyhole I misread Wayne's post, I thought he said "last time" not "last night". You are correct.
Have to love that the article quotes rex tillerson, the US Secretary of State. Somebody should have told them that his last day was over a week ago.
This is a classic “ mine is bigger “ conversationRussia said they will shoot down any missile we fire at Syria, in which Trump responded, well, get ready because they're coming.
Every credible news source is reporting that it was Israel. Syria and Russia have both claimed it and Israel isn't denying it
Never heard of such a thing.
AgreedPersonally, when we are planning important military action especially things like possible missile strikes, I prefer the President of the U.S. to not tweet things like “the missiles are a coming!!”... but that’s just me.
Truth. This is a classic “ mine is bigger “ conversation

And then refer to said missiles as nice, new, and smart.
I'm sorry but what the heck happened to Trump. In the 1980s he was well spoken and came across as very intelligent. How do you go from that to being the proverbial Cletus that he has become?
also he probably had too many yes men surrounding him for decades. He got out of the thing he knows best-business and went strictly showman.
And then refer to said missiles as nice, new, and smart.

Somebody should tell him that he sounds like Obama in that respect. This is total bullshit and was from the moment human rights watch threw out its steaming pile of lies. But if haley's worried about killing children in the Middle East with gas, invoke israelis killing children with white phosphorus gas.

So, let's get one thing down before we start here.I suppose maybe he doesn't. It just seems odd that he would be so brash as to cross this line now that trump is in office. It was understandable when he knew that there would be no recourse but I can't believe he would test these waters now.
He’s had reassurances from an emboldened Putin. I’ll beshocked if we do anything.
Sorry, that doesn't stick on Trump when it comes to Syria. Trump attacked Syria before over chemical weapons, unlike Obama's "red line" that set a very, very poor precedent.Somebody should tell him that he sounds like Obama in that respect. That'll shut him up
