Don’t see him dropping back to a position coach in college....he probably gets a HC job in the next year or two.
If he's smart he'll hang out with us until we move to the B12, he'll get a raise and opportunities for a HC gig.
He was Miami’s LB coach for like 2 weeks before Gus hired him. I highly doubt the validity in this rumor, he had a very successful first year as DC and a bright future. Agreed, he’s only going to a “higher” level DC or a HC in a couple years.
He gonna take a step back from DC to LB coach for a team that on paper will be worse in 2022 than UCF and by 2023 will be essentially P5 peers with UCF? Lol.
Going to say I doubt it... but I also doubted DG would leave a starting gig to go fight for a starting gig at another school so I don't know anything.
Probably only saying that because the ex-Auburn DC just became the DC at Miami.

Who is going to challenge him? Gabriel is not going to lose the job to a True Freshman in the off-season. Sure if Gabriel struggles, the team loses some games, then there will be pressure and a situation like the Rattler-Williams one that played out last year at OU could happen, but I don't see any way Gabriel isn't starting Game 1 of next season.
Cristobal has been striking out on first choices for coordinators . just shows me that Miami is still not as desirable as their fans think, Cristobal just played there otherwise he probably turns them down too
Depending on how many year Gus coaches wouldn't be surprised if T-Will is coach in waiting. Seems to resonate well with HS coaches and recruits on top of the players already on the team.
If TWill leaves here it is to be a DC at a Program like Georgia . He isn’t stepping down to LB coach

Only person Mario whiffed on was Ken Dorsey who is being looked at for OC job in the NFL.
For all the folks bashing on Miami, they are top 15 in recruiting rankings on 247 with the number 5 class by ranking (Ucf is now outside of the top 50).

Coming from Miami, I used to be a huge Canes fan before UCF moved up to 1-A.
Miami continually has great recruiting classes but in the last 20 years, they’ve been the epitome of “wasting talent”. No team has ever done less with so much.
And it STILL sucked......you need to use your time more effectively.
Strange for a UCF fan to post on here about Miami being great because of their recruit class ranking. They've sucked at football for decades.

I think T-Wills next job should be head coach in waiting at UCF. Go the Jimbo route
he was already hired by miami for the LB coach last year and chose to be DC at UCF instead. and now this year he's going to demote himself and take the job he passed up last year?
Since I guess we are having to defend ourselves to UCF/Miami fans. I know, I know Top 15 recruits and what not.
