Tacko Fall not cleared yet?

Partial list of guys haven’t been cleared yet: Diallo (KU), Labissiere (UK), Tacko Fall (UCF), Luwana Pipkins (Umass), Yakwe (St. John’s).

Guys over 7'0 typically have multiple foot injuries.

I think it has to do with grades but not in the bad way we are accustomed to seeing. He does great in school, but I think the NCAA is trying to get his grades out of Africa. That's a difficult process.

I can't imagine the ncaa will hold him out. Wasn't he an honors student here?

Straight As his 2 years in HS in the US. He wants to be an engineer if the NBA doesn't come calling.

He isn't the only international student that the NCAA Clearinghouse had to wait for more information from their original countries.

Yes, Tacko is smart, intelligent, had great grades and test scores in USA, but he started HS in Africa and getting transcripts with approved courses (by US standards) is sometimes hard to find or even get.

I would be shocked if he isn't cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse to play this season.

Thanks for stating that again...because if/when he gains eligibility, just having Tacko in the lane on defense will change almost every oppositions offensive game plan...as odds are, guards/forwards won't be driving the lane for higher percentage shots as compared to when he is not in the game...and just forcing opposing teams to shoot lower percentage outside shots will impact games...and thats before Tacko gets one rebound, one blocked shot or scores 1 pt.

I hope Tacko can play 12 - 15 mins this season and for one who just started playing organized basketball just a few years ago, his game will only improve in the coming years.

He looked pretty solid in the scrimmage. He will definitely get mins this season when he is cleared.

Sadly, he has already missed the 3 game trip to the Bahamas...then had to miss the UF scrimmage and since I don't think NCAA office workers like to work on weekends, he will most likely miss tomorrow's scrimmage vs that Davidson "like" school.

That's already a big loss in regards to UCF's preparations for this season, let alone to Tacko's advancement...a player who just recently started to playing organized basketball.

UCF's first 2 games of the season are against NCAA Tourn teams from last year so UCF will have to play pretty well if they want to go 2-0 or eve 1-1 during first week of the season.

That's not true. The high school is accreditef, but not by The agency the NCAA prefers. Supposedly there has just never been an athlete from Trinity Christian Prephat go on to play NCAA sports so they are examining everything more closely.

Still BS though. TCP has been around for 25 years. A Kentucky player that attended a "school" that has only been in existence for one year has already been cleared to play.
