Of all the things that characterize Fall — his 7-foot-6 beanpole frame, his Coke-bottle glasses and his tippy-toe dunks — it is his faith that has molded his congenial demeanor and solid citizenship.

Fall grew up and prayed daily in Dakar, Senegal, where he said he was never exposed to radicalism.

"It's definitely not how I was taught," he said. "Because where I'm from, it's very peaceful."
