I might get in trouble for this but want to share with everybody: connected source in the Dungeon indicates Taggart is leaving USF

Taggart will leave USF, probably after next season......But to say he's leaving now is just absurd.

I'm assuming USF will win 9-10 games next season.....if so, I expect him to get multiple offers from P5 schools......USF was in horrible shape after Skip Holtz.....He has built that program back up to where it was under Leavit.

Pretty much my thoughts. If we win 9 or 10 games it will be hard to hold onto him.

Don't know this "source", but I find Willie leaving now extremely doubtful

Balderdash! He will lead the Bulls into much triumph and enough money that they can have a campus where the grass is free of used needles and tube socks. Maybe they will not even have to count on the massive percentage of tuition they receive in sweaty one dollar bills.

He's a proven recruiter, and has shown he can get a failing program back to winning games. That being said, I don't think he's the guy who can coach or succeed at a high level from what I've seen. That's an honest assessment, with as little of a bias as I can give.

I should add that while I believe he could leave if USF produces this year, I certainly don't see him leaving right now.

Wait. Hold on. He's proven what exactly? They started off horribly last season and then ended up with a good season. Prior to that, he's accomplished nothing.

I'm not even sure how to answer that question seriously, it's literally the next word in the post. He's a proven recruiter. You cannot argue the guy isn't doing a great job of recruiting at USF. I'd argue he's also shown that he can take a failing program and get it back to winning some games. Believe me, I don't think he's a top tier coach by any means, and definitely underproduces with the talent he can recruit. I do think that if they get another good season under their belt, someone will likely take him away from USF, and I'd rather he stay right there personally.

Just because someone is a good recruiter doesn't mean shit. He has a losing record and didn't even do anything spectacular at WKU, let alone USF. The highest he'll get is the least tier team in a power five conference after two more consecutive seasons of winning, which he has only done once.

Frost will go somewhere before he does.

No, it means that they can recruit good talent. It doesn't mean that they can develop it into a team which can perform, but you guys really need to stop with the knee-jerk anti-USF nonsense which leads you to say objectively stupid things like being a "good recruiter doesn't mean shit". That's nonsense.

I think a P5 university hiring a decent recruiter with one winning season and a losing record as their head coach, is the very definition of knee jerk.

Cool, so you agree with me, though I'd honestly say he's a better recruiter than 'mediocre'.

So the original post was Taggart was leaving usf. Bogus?
No, in the doghouse for posting Dungeon only information here.
BTW, they just lost their OL coach (DC left a while back, see a trend?). Taggart is next

I am in the doghouse with Brandon but I am not going anywhere.
*w all due respect*

anything posted in the dungeon as inside info can be found easily on twitter these days, other sources were 2 steps quicker on recruiting news before signing day
