Tatum Bethune WOW

I know that is CFB now but it still stings seeing him make game changing plays in a Conference Championship Game when he was a UCF Knight and he loved it here , was in Greek life etc . And it makes it worse when it is at a position we have been trying to fill competently for years now

Agreed. NIL 💰 talks. 😔
It was sickening to hear the announcers rave "about the great job Mike Norvell has done." H*LL, he lost to Jacksonville State at home.

The only job Mike Norvell has done is be part of program that has bought players like every day is Black Friday.

More than half the starters at FSU came from other programs. Home grown signees are in the minority of the starting lineup. That doesn't qualify as a 'great job' to me.

A guy in his third or fourth year at the program shouldn't have the majority of his team coming from other programs.

accurate . I make fun of Miami but they have better recruited out of HS players on their roster than FSU. Credit to FSU for hitting home runs on all those transfers but I do wonder how sustainable that is if he keeps building it that way. That is what Prime wants to do at Colorado

Sore subject. I'm going to pretend I didn't see this post.
Our old DC (Shannon) helped take him to FSU when he went there as the LB coach I believe plus the money . I was told that AD White, who I like, made Huepel hire him when he got the job. Shannon was horrid here imo

Look at Nick Sabans losses early on when he lost to Louisiana Monroe. He must really stink !!!! You spew so much garbage Waste Management must spend hours every week in your basement

You serious Clark? Novell won NOTHING until FSU started shopping for players like it's still December.

I can understand Gus signing a bunch of transfers his first season at UCF. The recruiting classes were subpar. Gus has signed more and more high school kids every year.

Norvell has done the opposite. FSU has signed 10, 12, 14, and 12 transfers the last four recruiting cycles.

Also, sabahr didn't build uat off a bunch of transfers. He recruited high school players.

It's not a troll.

10, 12, 14 and 12 transfers is not at all a lot, especially considering the turnover of kids leaving also. That is the new normal anyways.

Defend this!

Eight of the starting 11 on offense have TR beside their name.

Five of the starting 11 on defense have TR beside their name.

You are clueless and never answered the question “Does the Jville loss equate to a Louisiana Monroe loss “. Also put Saban ( who is a college football mt Rushmore coach) against Norvells. Saban first started at Toledo n Norvell at Memphis. Do u get tired ?

Don’t need to defend it, I don’t care. Norvell has used the transfer portal better than most coaches even while at Memphis. He seems to always hit on productive players from the portal.

Gus meanwhile is taking more than that and has in large part failed miserably. Defend that!

No. 1, I am not defending sabahr. He was buying players long before Norvell.

Steve Spurrier: "In 12 years at Florida, I don't think we ever signed a kid from Alabama. ... Of course, we found out later that scholarships they were giving out at Alabama were worth a lot more than ours."

No. 2, Norvell has benefited from a treasure chest of NIL money. The guy with the best players wins 90% of the time.

Auburn was the most crooked program in the SEC, which made it the most crooked program in the United States for years and years and years. They used to have a pipeline to a high school in Fort Lauderdale where it was well known that all the kids got paid well ( before it was legal) and didn’t have to go to school at all. They did that all over the place. The reputation of Auburn and Pat Dye was of a crooked institution, so I wouldn’t go there, because your beloved was at the top of the food chain.

Btw, i’m not asking you to defend Nick Saban, but is Norvel a failure, because he lost to Jacksonville State which equates to Saban losing to Louisiana Monroe? The records at this point of their careers are extremely similar. you like to spew a lot of garbage, but facts matter . I guess that Saban because of his initial coaching career loss was destined to fail.

You are correct. Dye should have been banned from having any contact with Auburn. He ran a bounty system at Auburn that would put the New Orleans Saints to shame.

Terry Bowden put an end to that. He fired two additional assistants coaches who were responsible for paying players.

Tuberville and Chizik started the paying players again.

Then, along came Gus Malzahn. He was squeaky clean. Everything he did was above water. There wasn't a hint of NCAA impropriety.

That is real reason Malzahn was fired at Auburn.

Shannon was hired before Heupel so yes he had to take him. Having a former HC being forced ended up not working. Shannon caused the divide in Offense vs Defense and his defenses sucked. You don’t make a new HC use assistants he didn’t pick.

No one in the media cares how many starters are transfers vs. signed out of h.s. The only thing that matters is winning. I wish UCF’s nil could afford players like fsu.

I don’t understand the NFL stock argument

Pre Power 5 UCF never had issues having guys make the league . we are a convenient location for scouts
Did you watch our defense this year? You think there is no merit to playing for a veteran proven defensive staff as opposed to what we cobbled together here when it comes to improvement and NFL prospects?
