Taylor Hendricks

This could be a huge boom to basketball recruiting. A lottery pick is Something we’ve never been able to claim. Showing kids they too could be a lottery pick if they play at UCF should bring in talent like we’ve never seen before.

The issue with that is he played 1 year on a sub par performing team. Less that UCF or the coaching staff made him a lottery pick, more he was going to be a lottery pick where ever he went.

NBA lottery picks from all kinds of colleges, high schools, international locations.

It's obviously not bad press, but if this is to have impact he needs to be referring to UCF every chance he gets for the next few years.

I was hoping for the Magic, but what do you expect from the Magic. Their leadership is incompetent which is evident on their record for the past 12 yrs, one .500+ season since 2012. Nobody I know actually attends their games and they may as well move to a different city. I could care less.

One thing I can guarantee, if they would have drafted Taylor is the amount of ticket sales would have increased due to the number of UCF alum. A friend of mine and I were planning to buy a season ticket share if they would have picked up Taylor. The Magic lost out on a tremendous amount of future season tickets. You can't fix stupid.

Would’ve been great to see him with the hometown team. But Utah is a better run organization that should give him a better chance at long term success. Too bad he has to live in Utah though.
I think if Dawkins would have had him more aggressive offensively, or he had more time to develop that, maybe the Magic would have picked him. He's got the shot, got the defense, but ball handling and offensive aggressiveness needs work...IMHO

Totally! We would ALL go see him! Knight Nation!

Would there be a substantial amount of UCF alum that would show up for magic game because of Hendricks that didn't show up for UCF while Hendricks played?

Even in Hendricks last few games when everyone knew he would be gone, attendance was at 5k which includes a lot of people that either didn't have to pay or paid a lot less than going to a Magic game.

People in Orlando would definitely pay more interest in the team. No different than following the Bills or other NFL teams with UCF stars.
