So I'm watching Boise State right now and their team speed is light years ahead of UCF. I have to ask how that happens, how can a team in Idaho have so much more speed than a team in Florida? Back in the Div 2 and 1-AA days UCF had skill players that could keep up with almost any Div 1 team, UCF would lose games because of the line play against those teams. Now I know we probably have speed at the WR position, although not like last year but how can we not have speed at the RB position.
Yes I know the O-line is horrible but seriously, our RB's run like fullbacks, not running backs. To make matters worse the play calling for running the ball is horrible. I watch BSU and their QB is four yards back, maybe five and their RB plays next to the QB. Watching UCF, Holman is six to seven yards back and the RB is a yard or two behind him. Even with fast RB's the backs are too far back.
Is the Oline so bad that we need the QB six to seven yards back, I guess so but at that distance, say goodbye to any running game.
