Temple vs USF attendance in Philadelphia

Appreciate it.
Not trying to thump my chest here, but it would be nice if a fellow AAC team, eastern division champs, coming off a miracle win, playing USF, exciting RBs, ranked a lot last year, ESPN, Friday night, and one of the largest cities in the country could draw 40,000.

UCF fan base wants to pack that stadium sooner than later. Anything to attract money.

25,950. Pretty pathetic.

That's still about 8,000-10,000 more vs what has shown up at USF games over the past few years.

Temple has a solid team (again) this year...they just ran down the cows throats last night.

Rhule should be getting some P5 interest, I would think. Only 41 years old. Turned Temple into a winner. Good coach.

That's literally what you're doing. If you had any idea what sort of ineptitude we've dealt with for 100 years, you might understand. Then again, we have multiple buildings on campus older than your school, so you probably don't. Congrats on your 35K. The Big 12 is really impressed.

What an ass. Sorry but you have won yourself out of MAC regulation, had a decent QB for 3 to 4 years now, it's a shame no one cares. As for 35K, after 0-12, a 0-12 season that still out draws a good Temple? Why doesn't anyone up north care about football? It's Penn St or nothing, or at least that's how it was in the 80s when I grew up in Scrotum err Scranton.

As for the Big almost 12, I guess you don't realize what that entire process was about. Hint: it had nothing to do with UCF or any of the other 11 pageant contestants.

Was the Big -12 impressed with Temple?? Obviously not. Take your 100 years of ineptitude and old, decrepit, outdated buildings and start a Temple board. Obvious you don't have one.

Fair point.

Props to Temple and Coach Rhule...as the Owls will be going bowling in back-to-back seasons for the first time in their 120 year history....and yes, I do think a few UCF fans may not understand just how bad and insignificant the Temple Football program has been for generations...but now, they seemed to have a very solid program.

Who really cares???? You just beat USF and you're arguing about attendance on a UCF board and showing pics of your campus. Lame. Show a few pics of your empty off campus stadium. Get on your board and tell the fans to go to the game.

I'll take new buildings and sunshine thank you. That's why I moved away from that crap.

You also lived in Scranton, and I bet you live in Ocala, because you're poor.

I wish we would stop with the attendance threads...

we're not exactly filling the bhns to capacity

Correction. I was born on Long
Island and live in Lake Nona. Never been to Scrotum and I'm not poor. I'll spend my money on tickets and donations. Maybe that's what you need to do. Enjoy your 40 degree cloudy weather. I'm headed to the beach tomorrow to hang. It's supposed to be 81.

By the way, since you like new buildings so much:

Temple is nothing like last year. Stop making excuses. They escaped with a win last week and it loaded up their confidence for last night. Good win for them, but their heart and soul is no longer there.

If we had 25,000 fans with the same resume as Temple this year and last, and all the things that I mentioned above, everyone on this board and the media would be going crazy. Philadelphia metro area tops 6 million and the city has at least 1.5 million.

Last I checked 38-39,000 to 25,000 plus is a 50% difference.

Sad that you have to resort to this. All that money and no on campus stadium. Guess football isn't that important. Not much more to say. I think we have it pretty good down here.

Go put a football field in one of them, just don't add stands since you don't use them

Temple football competes with the all major league sports plus various college sports around the city. I was hoping they'd turn it around a little but the reality is during their biggest attended games fans went to see Notre Dame and Penn State.
Hopefully it will happen when UCF comes to town again...maybe not next year, but soon. :)
Coach Rhule is doing a good job turning the program around, but the stench and reputation of getting kicked out of the Big East the first time around will linger for generations.
Thats great Temple is getting nice shiny buildings instead of the Presidents and other faculty members pocketing the money.***

Not sure if you've heard the news, but we're working on it. Much more difficult to shoehorn a football stadium on a 115 acre campus in an old, developed city with very little available land versus plopping some aluminum erector set on some swamp land and orange groves.
