Thank you to my new UCF friends on this board - I appreciate the friendly and fun atmosphere you have going on here, and how open and decent people on here have been to me in particular.
My name is 'ronniehuskerron,' and you may have guessed I am a Nebraska fan. As I have mentioned in a couple of posts, I am also a huge Scott Frost fan - as a player and as a coach. I like the way he does things. As a result, I shelled out the dough to join this site and to be part of your community. In fact, there is a very strong possibility that I will be attending a game this fall (working on it). I hope to glean some good tailgating and cigar bar info in preparation of that trip...

Some here are some things I noticed about your board:
- There is a lot of positivity around the Frost hire (duh!), and it's almost like the whole program got a re-birth of sorts. Cool to see!
- You have some entertaining and funny folks on this board. Some know they are funny, a couple have no idea they are funny. Good conversations though, and I have enjoyed reading the board.
- There is really good info provided here. Gotta like it.
Two things about Scott Frost:
- He grew up in Wood River, NE about twenty miles from my hometown in Nebraska. The part you might not know is this little town of 1300 people was the High School beer drinking capital of the world in the 70's and 80's (I made that up, but it sure seemed that way to me). He is a smart, interesting guy, who has that small town Nebraska ass-kicker view of the world. Polite, kind, decent, and a personal drive that should never be underestimated.
- His pivotal game as a player was at Washington in 1997. He willed Nebraska to a win. I sat in the stands with 15,000 other visitors that day looking out on the field and Lake Washington, and saw Scott Frost start to become a Husker legend that day. He willed them to a win - and was the glue (along with guys like Grant Wistrom) that helped make that group a National Champion.
Go Knights!
Go Big Red!
