The country's oldest, Liberal magazine just nailed it ...

QUOTE: 'If cable-news analysts and newspaper columnists are to be believed, Youngkin, an extremist posing in the garb of a suburban dad, was able to incite “white backlash” by exploiting “fake” and “imaginary” fears about the teaching of “critical race theory” in public schools.
But this account does not help explain the inroads Youngkin seems to have made in blue suburbs, among political independents, and even among Black voters. Nor does it help Democrats develop a plan for how they can avoid further political losses when Republicans across the country emulate Youngkin’s strategy next year.
The truth, I fear, is rather different. Youngkin capitalized on a widespread public perception that Democrats are out of tune with the country on cultural issues. In doing so, he demonstrated that Republicans who attack identity politics without embracing Trump’s extremist rhetoric can be highly competitive in purple and even solidly' blue states (such as New Jersey, where another gubernatorial election that was meant to be an easy win for Democrats has turned out to be unexpectedly close).'

It's not that the country wants Conservative Republicans. It's just that the Progresssive Democrats have gone full-on Twilight Zone narrative, the Republicans are looking more sane and, gasp, even 'Liberal' on freedoms!

I really love this passage, because it nails it home even further, and this is just 1 of the long list of self-defeating, 'we speak for minorities' type 'platforms' the Progressive Democratic institutions have launched, and the author points out why too ...

QUOTE: 'That leaves Democrats with two principal options. They could defend the need to teach students ideas that are rooted in critical race theory, arguing that an unrelentingly bleak view of American history or a depiction of contemporary America as still defined by omnipresent forms of structural racism are accurate reflections of reality. Personally, I have substantive disagreements with this view as well as deep concerns about how popular such a message is likely to prove. But an open defense of the need to make radical changes to the way students are taught about the history and the nature of their country would at least stand a chance of persuading some voters and have the virtue of treating them like adults.'

The left-wing 'elitiest academia' that is pushing this non-sense is literally destroying not just the Democratic party, but is just at total odds with American Liberalism in general ... especially this 2016+ election 'war on misinformation' that is taking down anyone who disagrees ... even top experts at the FDA as of late, among others!

It's amazing how many American Progressives who vote Democratic Party are literally 'unfriending' European Socialists, especially as even Europeans point out the party is going the way of the Soviet, not socialist, and implementing virtual gulag-type blacklisting. That's what 'woke me up' most, how 'scary' American Democrats are now, over the last 5 years, to even Liberal Socialists in Europe.

A TV interviewer in Virginia yesterday asked a 50-something guy leaving the polls what was the biggest concern he had going into the voting booth. The man responded that it was 'this critical race theory stuff they want to push in our schools.'

When asked what Critical Race Theory was, the man was taken off-guard and struggled with an answer before finally admitting, 'I don't really know much about it but from what I've heard on the news, it's bad.'

There you go. :)

He is pretty typical of both sides. They hear the talking points and vote on them. Informed voters are the minority. Which is why I don't like making it easier and easier to vote. You simply keep adding in more, and more ignorant voters. I would rather have a 35% turn out where 70% are paying real attention to what is happening than 70% turn out where 35% are really paying attention.

Yep, and that's the problem with Democracy ... one has to be educated to remain free.

Unfortunately, making it more difficult to vote is an even worse solution. One cannot legislate informed voters, but one should not minimize the right to vote.

I think we all would. Unfortunately, restrictions will always be used against various people, like the south used to do with 'tests' on minorities in centuries past.

Everyone who is legally allowed to vote should vote. everyone who is prohibited from voting should not vote. we need secure elections trusted by everyone and if that means voter ID and frankly outlawing unsecured mail in voting like France did in 1975, then we need to do that.

CRT is a real idea and you start by teaching all white people are oppressors and all black people are thus oppressed . That's the premise from which that nonsense flows. texting kindergarten kids that are white they are guilty of oppressing their black friends has happened in public schools. You want a better society ditch this nonsense and embrace Martin Luther King . Judge people by their character not their skin color . If we do that and come together the this scares the crap out of politicians who build their power on division and fear .

I can tell you as an independent libertarian person without hesitation what I stand for .I stand for the Bill of Rights, The Constitution and believe in individual liberty
I believe in opportunity for all but I realize many fail and some succeed. That's life. I believe in failure as it's a great tool towards success. I want enough government to make this work .

most progressive politicians actually y have to lie to hide their real intentions and ideas. Terry lost in Virginia when he spoke his truth in saying parents shouldn't have a say in their kids education. He blurted out his position ,unfiltered and this is America not a socialist state where parents may be kept at Bay or say the Soviet union or China where parents don't have a voice. progressives can't tell you the truth of their ideas because they know most people will reject it.

Did you ever think you'd see the day that they would push their agenda so hard and so quickly?
