So we are heading out for the weekend as a family, and my wife gets a dog-sitter/friend who came over to pick up our dog. She walks in with an bright Orange Auburn shirt on. We have some small talk, and then she starts “attempting” to convince my daughter she should consider Auburn for college, which just doesn’t happen in my house without commentary. So as she finished her short attempt at convincing her what a great school it was (and it has its points), I said to her.
“You know Auburn has a very special place in my heart... really she says... yes, Auburn was the team UCF beat to win our National Championship”
A little light hearted college football banter, which we went back and forth a bit with smiles. College football is great fun, but it is always something we can share in our love for the game.
