There haven't been too many players who left UCF and excelled at their new program. I few that come to mind:

1. Will Stanback-got booted, went to Virginia Union and killed it their for a season and then got drafted by CFL. Led the league in rushing this year.
2. Noah Vedral- Bounced around Nebraska and Rutgers. mediocre career
3. Tre Neal- went to Nebraska and ended up starting all 12 games and was productive

I only have one Rutgers buddy, he hates Vedral. As you state, mediocre/serviceable at best and they have some kid fresh outta high school that they're amped about.

I loved Stanback's skill set. Decent size, good speed, power, and hands.

I think Mack and KZ were victims of being rusty and lack of weapons. They just both seemed different. Mack didn’t look like the QB against Memphis at all this year and that was 3 years ago. KZ looked healthy, so I don’t think that was it.

I don't know for certain but when they started talking about all those rest days for Milton at the end of camp before the season started it looked like Milton's knee wasn't going to be strong enough to endure the full process of being a starting QB for a whole year. His performance this season looked like he missed having more reps with his new offense, something he was physically unable to do with all the time he was spending with the trainers. Just my outside perspective here??? I have seen other guys with knee injuries take a few years of playing after coming back from serious injury to get their mojo back. Milton didn't have this time though in his situation (only one year). He'll never know if his knee will get stronger unless he gets the opportunity to play in the CFL.

MACK - benched at Old Dominion. *hindsight he would have been a great backup this year. Size can run and throws more than 5 yds. Had a rollercoaster with USF win, Memphis win for confrence and close loss to LSU in fiesta bowl.
Malzahn likely would have started Mack after DG went down, especially with his skill set.

Most UCF players have transferred to get more playing time somewhere else. I get that. DG is different because he was our starter. I don't get that. He left his school and his team high and dry. It's a bunch of crap when people say once a Knight, always Knight to DG. That doesn't apply to him because he left as a starter and a team captain. UCF was giving him everything all college players desire and he still left. His social media posts show that he decided to leave because God told him to go somewhere else where he could make more money.

Oh yes, whatever happened to him? School and production?
He went to James Madison and did well. Then I think I recently heard he's going to Eastern Michigan.
He had about 100+ carries for a 6 yard average. Maybe 600+ yards. Nice season and once monster game. I think he’s headed to a bowl. He played in 2016 which is nuts. Curiously, he’s had a couple of games that he barely touched the ball. One carry last week

+1

enough policing fans(Bianchi). This situation has never happened to UCF so let fans vent. Fanbase is used to players loving it here and if they have enough playing time never wanting to leave unless it is to the NFL. Latavius Murray is once a Knight. always a Knight.

KZ didn’t look healthy. He looked “good enough”. The brain is there but the body was not. His throws lacked the zip they used to have. Sometimes when he scrambled his leg just looked like it gave out. Heart of a champion and I hope he goes on to great things in whatever he chooses to do.

Mack has limited tools. First game I watched him play at OD he looked exactly the same, except without any weapons. Even the announcer (who was an ex player) pointed out his seeming lack of ability to execute plays outside of either at or around the line of scrimmage, or 30 yards down field. Nothing in between. He was a great backup and change-of-pace QB for us. He always holds a special place in UCF history for gutting out the 2018 AAC title game. He left to try and get more playing time, although he probably would have been our QB this season instead of Keene. Grass always looks greener somewhere else but it may not be.

yeah KZ looked a step slow whenever he scrambled and he sailed way more passes. pre injury he would do that deep at times but not as often as w FSU.

I agree with some of the things that you said about Mack, but FSU insiders said KZ was healthy. He has said it too. He’s ran some amazing drills, had full strength and scrambled perfectly fine at times.

It hurts to say it, but he made
a lot of mistakes not related to his injury. Mental errors that were rust related.

Like inaccurate passes, bad reads, scrambling into traffic, fumbles, bad interceptions, etc

I have her comments saved. They are not good. He was basically a primadonna and entitled. Asshole of a teammate.

She called the rivalry game a meaningless game vs a crappy team. There’s much more
I do not see the upside of DG and his family trashing UCF. And even though I didn’t like Heup it was also stupid for DG to publicly trash him months ago. never burn bridges

Well if Ware is fair game so is DaMarcus Smith....what a mess that was. Went to W Ky, went to a CC, finally to North Texas where he was a part time starter. We thought we hit gold, 4*, Elite 11, P5 offers.

Quite a few guys around that time we thought were great and didn’t do much.
