The cheater wins the appeal

Sadly, rules only work if people follow them. The fact that this had to go through so many levels, even to the courts, means people -- on all sides -- honestly don't expect players to follow them. So we deserve what we get.

Kinda reminds me of the time Brady was calling for a late hit flag, and got it, to extend a drive after he threw an incomplete to end a drive. He ended up winning the game, all because the call was made late, and questionable, but he asked for it, arms flailing.

At some point, and before you read this, understand I'm one of those guys who doesn't like all the negativity thrown at the Patriots either (which is its own issues), you have to look at Brady and say ... yes, he absolutely represents what the NFL is today. It's no longer a game ... but a business.

I guess that's why I love going to UCF games. Not just to see a bunch of guys bust their butt even though they are unlikely to make it to the NFL. Not just to see guys play the game for the love of it. But just to watch the type of honest, transparent player that I want to see.

Like Blake Bortles ... who really -- if you come to think of it -- did make it to the NFL on a series of rare chances and circumstances. Or maybe things really do happen for a reason?

Brady right now be like...

Eric Cartminez pegged the entire Patriots organization absolutely correctly a few years ago.

"I misinterpreted the rules"

They have 0 proof he did anything. Good for the judge. If he had been a white looking Hispanic, he likely would have gotten off sooner.

The whole thing is so obvious. If Brady is a great as his fans think he is, and if he likes the balls to be under inflated, then he obviously can tell within seconds if the ball is under inflated, since he is so great and can tell if the ball is under inflated he willingly played with an illegal ball and knew it, if so then he is as guilty as anyone receiving stolen property. So, yes he is guilty and got away with it, since ALL "if" statements are true. He knows and likes using an under inflated ball.

I didn't say he was innocent, just said they have no proof of him being involved. As for the balls, I don't think they are allowed to add nor take out air during the game. So even if he could tell they were soft, he couldn't change them.
