Here me out.

We know UCF vs Florida isn’t a real rivalry. UF will likely never extend the series. Just imagine beating the Gators and hoisting up a mangled Civil Conflict trophy with a Gator bumper sticker over the UConn logos.

The glorious tradition of the Civil Conflict trophy is forcing an unwanted rivalry on its opponent.

It would generate the same ridiculous attention the UCF-UCONN series already gets but the extra layer of in state tension. For better or for worse the Civil Conflict monicker has stuck to the UCF-UCONN series.

It would be funny if UCF did it to Florida because the name would probably stick to the series even if the series dies.

No one besides UCF and UCONN knows there was a trophy. Absolutely no one.

I agree this is a terrible idea, no offense. We make fun of UCONN and straight disregard this. UF people already hate us for the NC claim, which I agree with the claim, but we don’t need to be the butt of more jokes to UF or the SEC.

I like this idea! Makes sense for Gainesville-Orlando

I thought it was donated to the Bill Gates foundation as a prototype for the next global toilet to save the world?

No....No...and No....even when we beat them 3x, we'll still never be rivals.

If SEC expands and they reduce their out of conference opponents do they keep the FSU series?
UCF might be an alternative to playing FSU.

Citrus Conflict?!
UF-FSU will stop playing and replace with UF-UCF? Might as well ask Ohio State to stop playing Michigan and start an annual rivalry game with UCF too.

it would be hilarious because unlike UConn, we obviously wouldn't take the trophy or "rivalry" seriously. imagine hold up an old, dingy trophy with a half taped Gator logo over the UConn symbol, but you can still see the Husky sticking out behind it 😂 very on brand with our already trolling nature of the Florida Big 3
