The Current Republican Party

That was 2 years ago this month and I voted for a traditional Republican. Republican party is nothing like it used to be that's why I started this thread. To highlight today's best and brightest.

It's sad when you have to spell it out for them with crayons. Really defeats the purpose.

Can you point me to when 2 years ago, the GOP was pushing candidates back by the socialist party and supported unrestricted anti-life abortion positions?

Way way back in 2016 there were two types of Republicans running. They all fell under 2 categories, the old school category and the new school category.

The old school Republican was a family man. He respected women and lived a life that one could be proud of. He related to the people but had some ideas that I didn't agree with on social issues. He was going to dial back wasteful spending and be responsible with government programs. Trade was good. Included here Marco, Jeb, Kasich

The new school Republican blamed Mexicans and Muslims for America's problems. China and trade deals were evil. Obama was a Muslim himself or maybe not even an american. This is the party of conspiracy theories and racism. Included here Trump, Cruz

Since old school republicans can't be trusted to keep their racist overlords in check I have decided to support democrats until the party regains its identity. After a period when I know my vote will not be used to support breaking up of families or discrimination I will return to support fiscal responsibility if they ever get back to that as a platform.

Your post makes way too much sense, and uses far too large of words for 85. They must be 3 letters or less if you want to make sure he can comprehend it.

Funny you say this since you've run from your own thread where you whine about a "trade war with China" despite the fact that they are now racing towards a new deal that the market has cheered.

Interesting how you disappear for those announcements but re-emerge every time the market has a bad day.

And the Democrats had the opportunity to elect an honorable man like Jim Webb but they darn near ran him out of the party . They decided it would be better to support either the corrupt politician or the socialist.

I am 100 percent against what this politician said, but your quote above makes me life. fried Chicken has started so many thread ripping Trump etc there's no way you can make that statement

There’s 2 threads started by FC on the entire 1st page...

There's 3 actually, and that's mostly because a certain unhinged individual decided to bump 4 irrelevant older posts in a fit of immature rage.

You're a good poster; it's sad to see you going to bat for someone like FC who has admitted he's here to worthlessly troll (after whining that the board is ruined)

lmao, of course you think there are 3, because you are snowflake and have so many people on ignore you don't see their posts. :joy:

Also they are 100% relevant given the current state of affairs surrounding NK and their "ICMB" [sic] program. Pointing out you have no idea how to spell ICBM was just icing on the cake.

I'm not going to bat for FC, I'm going to bat for the hypocrisy of saying, "oh no, another worthless troll attempt", when half this board is a worthless troll attempt.

The current Republican Party is an embarrassment, it's all culture wars & dog whistles. It may work short term but it's going to have long term damaging effects on American society with the divisions on ethnic lines being formed that has trickled down from Trump.

Went from Reagan's inclusive form of a conservatism to normalizing stuff like this:

Lulz. I love reading hyperbolic garbage such as this.

Culture wars? You repost virtually everything that comes from a DNC lackey yet here you're calling culture wars as a "Republican" problem? Hint: the Trump wave is merely a response to the decades' long culture war that liberals and the DNC have been waging. Conservatives were always happy to shut up and take it and be the "silent majority" but apparently enough of them got sick of being kicked around by left wing culture warriors and decided to embrace a guy that was willing to punch back.

Spare me the nonsense about how Republicans created the current American culture war.

Oh, and dog whistles? Kind of like calling anyone/everyone that you disagree with a racist? Bigot? If the Trumpers have their dog whistles, they merely learned from the liberals who could take ANY statement and throw around the racism dog whistle. Remember when tax cuts were deemed racist? Remember all of the various bullshit "code words" that D's invented as dog whistles to mean "racist"?

Let's not forget the latest embarrassment- calling the NRA, and its' members, "terrorists". Not just something said on the left wing fringe; something openly now adopted by sitting Democratic Governors, congressmen, and virtually every activist.

I got it from a DNC lackey? you're so full of shit

It's reality. The hate happening in this country right now is disturbing, especially towards Hispanics. There are things happening in Florida and across the country that has never happened before in my lifetime. But continue treating the Republican Party like your College Football team.

This is exactly 100% what is wrong with how 85 and his ignorant crew treat politics. It's not a goddamn football game, it's our country. Truly pathetic.

This is the gist that it all boils down to. They are scared. Scared, white, Christian, straight, "manly", gun-toting, men who believe their man-ness is under attack because the rest of the world has decided it is okay to be different.

They will die off soon. We will have some neanderthal stragglers like 85, Bob, Wayne, and BT, but they'll be gone soon.

Lol are you seriously debating that you don’t just post every bit of worthless partisan shit that shows up on your feed? That last thing you posted was 100% unverified and traced back to a totally random Twitter user

Did we cover this one yet?

Texas Republican/Felon Who Pushed To Impeach Obama Just Got Jailed After Being Convicted Of 23 Felonies

A Republican former congressman from Texas has been convicted of fraud after funneling $1.25 million from donors into personal expenses as part of what prosecutors have described as a “white collar crime spree.”

A jury in federal court in Houston ruled Thursday afternoon that former GOP lawmaker Steve Stockman (Texas) is guilty of all but one of the 24 felonies he was charged with last March.

Stockman faces 20 years in federal prison for each conviction

Current Democratic Party:

https://hotair.com/archives/2018/05...torial-primary-sexual-harassment-allegations/

A popular Democratic candidate dropped out of Iowa’s crowded race for governor on Thursday, one day after an Iowa newspaper reported three women had accused him of sexual misconduct.

Nate Boulton, a Des Moines attorney and state senator, announced his exit from the campaign in an emailed statement that alluded to the accusations reported Wednesday in The Des Moines Register.

One woman told the Des Moines Register that Boulton, now 38, repeatedly grabbed her buttocks at a bar in 2015. Two others told the Register that when Boulton was in law school more than a decade ago, he rubbed his clothed crotch against them, pressing his erect penis into their thighs.

The difference here is that he dropped out, unlike pedophile Roy Moore who stayed in the race and almost became a US Senator.

You’re right. Democrats in Iowa leave the sexual assaulting while in office to Democrats in New York

And the ones in NY leave office as well, as they should. What difference does it make whether or not these things happened in office? They still... happened? Also, have you ever heard of Blake Farenthold?

When you can't defend your party, roll eyes or yawn.
So, if you're going to hold one (1) person responsible for the entire Republican party, does that mean you'll hold the Democratic party using the same logic? This is why I have to roll my eyes too. Ergo ...

Zinger!

No offense, I don't agree with 85 on many things, but most of the time (not all, but most) he's only responding to you guys with a level-headed argument. But you guys, unlike 85 at times, have a really difficult time not looking like hypocrites.

At least 85 admits when Republicans have committed crimes or made statements that are clearly wrong. I see too many of you guys defending Democratic representatives and others, or just refusing to admit anything.

I'm still waiting for Democratic fanboys to admit Hillary's roll in undermining the rights of women who accuse men of sexual assault. That was the 'big elephant in the room' when she ran in 2016, and why the #metoo movement was inhibited until after she lost.

I'm for unrestricted control by women over their bodies. I'm the most 'radical' of anyone on this. I don't even like late term abortion restrictions. I mean, even late term, it's either ...

1) a really sick woman to do that -- who will do it anyway, legal or not -- or ...

2) a woman who really does have a life threatening situation -- and she's going to think long and hard before she makes the call -- especially how well of a life the baby may live as a result

Because of #2, I support "unrestricted anti-life abortion positions."

One of these days Conservatives will get back to their, "I am Pro-Life. I will tell every woman not to have an abortion. But I'm Pro-Civil Liberties, and I don't want the government telling anyone what they can or cannot do with their bodies. I trust women more than the government using its guns via the on-a-whim voter" roots. Show people your compassion and Christianity ... don't let the government and its guns enforce it.
