Unfortunately the offense was unable to help out. Are we down to one running back? Jones played the whole game. when was the last time we played a game with one running back?:sunglasses:

Wright kicked another long FG (48 yds) and now is 8-9 on the season...including last 8 (the one miss was obviously at end of FIU game).

2 turnovers by Punt Coverage team was a good sign (both recovered I think by TJ Mutcherson...who had a solid game at DB) but yes, the one big punt return by Temple set up a big 4th Q TD.

Defense still gave up a lot of rushing yds...as the LB's are probably the biggest weakness on D now (both in run defense and in pass coverage).

IMO, Special Teams played great, but while the Defense played "Better" than the last two games, they still can't stop the run. That is Football Defense 101. It's the first assignment of any defense. STOP THE RUN! Failure to do that is like taking away their Man Cards.
So, better yes, but the defense did not play a great game. But what difference does this make? Defense played fairly decently in the first couple of games. The primary problem with this team is the inability of the offensive front to play at a 1A level.
