We've discussed this idea before in here and it finally seems to be happening. The idea, which I am a huge proponent of, is basically that you have one device that serves as your computing hub. This is most likely your phone. When you get to your desk, it docks (wired or wirelessly) to mouse, keyboard, monitors, etc and the interface morphs to support this usage scenario. When you get home this can connect to your TV and game controllers to give you an entertainment and gaming experience.

We're certainly not there yet but it's finally starting to show up. Motorola tried something like this a few years ago and failed miserably. Now Microsoft is giving it a go and I truly believe they're well positioned to pull it off. Probably not in this iteration but in future versions. Will others follow?

Pretty cool. We're really close to being there now, just missing the computing part. Have all of my TV and audio devices networked wirelessly so can switch content wherever I'd like it to be in the house (except for HBO Now, stupid Apple exclusive agreement means I have to connect my laptop via HDMI and control the laptop from phone with Google remote desktop).
