[I just can't help myself!!]
1. We get the
opening tap. Ball swings to Kasey near the top of the key. USF's
defensive strategy becomes instantly clear - Kasey's man drops back to
double-team Keith. Kasey buries the 3! It would be the closest USF
would get the rest of the game.
2. The renovated Sun Dome is
absolutely fabulous. No sky boxes, but their loges line the arena
between the 1st and 2nd floors. I took an innocently unauthorized tour
of the Club Section Lounge, and it was long, deep, well-appointed and
packed. It is a vast improvement.
3. And I know how they're paying for it, too - $7 12oz Bud Lights!!

USF had absolutely no answer for Isaiah - none! He had a double-double
at the half, but it didn't begin to tell how much he controlled the
game. It bears repeating after every game - we've never seen the likes
of him before
5. Before we get too giddy, I'm not sure USF is a
good basketball team. They shot 29% FG in the first half, and had no
steals and no blocks. They rebounded horribly. The only thing they did
do well was shoot FTs, >80%.
6. It's not going to show it
in the stats, but Keith had a helluva game. He also had a
double-double, close to 20 rbs, and the usual 3-4 blocks - all while
being double & triple-teamed. Gutty, gutty effort!

Tristan nailed shots when we needed them. Next game, spend some time
watching how his length disrupts the opponent's set plays.

the Victory Club bus began its departure from the Sun Dome, the driver
announces that we'd arrive back at the UCF Arena at 11:06. He hit the
brakes at 11:04. It was indicative of a great event planned by Scott
Rose and team, and the Tampa Bay Alumni Chapter for a really smooth and
fun day!
9. So we start getting tired/sloppy, and USF makes a
late 2nd half rally - getting to within 12. The ball swings to Rod Days
in the corner. He hits the 3, and any hopes the Bulls had retained
were dashed.
10. Big minutes from Daiquan Walker and Stephon Blair, with some mistakes. But good minutes.
11. So the USF video crew panned in on Judy Genshaft doing the cow-antler hand-sign during the pre-game show. We booed
