In the past 5 years UCF has offered plenty of Florida HS players.

A fraction of those would be enough to fill an entire class. Unfortunately not everyone wants to play for UCF so we look elsewhere for the best players. But the vast majority of offers go to FL kids with GA a distant #2.
If you want to make the argument that UCF has failed to sell itself, that's probably true. GOL's style probably wasn't the best fit for most FL kids.
USF has a reputation for recruiting Florida hard but the only real difference in the numbers is that they offer virtually everyone, even the 5-Stars they have no realistic shot at.
I'm hoping Frosts style and all UCF has to offer will increase our success rate in Florida, but we have not been ignoring talent.
