Never ridiculed mask wearers, Have stated I wear on inside public buildings, I highly doubt their effectiveness, but am willing to do it just in case. Bottom line is the new # spike is almost all under the age of 40, so yes I blame the stupid young people. Went boating today. No social distancing on any of the islands.

Which ones? We went fishing off Ft De Soto and Pass a Grille on Friday and most of the islands had a lot of boats pulled up but everyone was fairly far apart from each other. Not to mention passing a virus on a beach is pretty difficult given the wind and humidity.

But I have no doubt that when it comes to stupid young people, all political perspectives are represented. Part of being young means rebelling against authority.

That said, if 'the adults in the room' were presenting a unified front about the importance of mask-wearing in public and social distancing, young people might be a tad bit more receptive to doing the right thing.

The question is which one causes more damage long term.. assuming wearing mask actually saves lives. it may help with the spread of covid, but may cause other medical problems because of bacteria left on mask worn multiple times.
I am not against encouraging people to wear mask and teaching them why it is helpful, I am against to government taking on more power to control the masses. The same officials the left doesn't want to control rioters and looters who are destroying parts of cities, and destroying peoples lives and livelihoods, you want to have the power to tell people what they should wear, other than pants worn around the knees,

To be fair, if the death rate for young people was the same as 70 years olds they would still be out. Everyday young people do stupid stuff, drinking and driving, drugs, ect. When you are at the age, you just assume everything will be fine, you don't think about consequences.
