The OL

Hey, I know we love talking about the skill positions; the super fast WRs we have coming in, the RBs, etc. But our CLEARLY biggest downfall last year was the offensive line and it's lack of ability to keep our QBs off the ground, as well as open up holes for the run game.

Have we seen or heard of anything that will give us at least a glimpse of optimism that that will change this season? I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but unless Frost kidnapped our current OL, and replaced them with some studs, I fear there isn't a sub 4.4 sec RB in the world that will change the offensive outcome.

I'm just looking for any sort of legit info that will help build confidence for the OL. It can't just be the system will change things.

I think our downfall last year was coaching and particularly on Offense it was Key. But with that said I think a fast tempo offense where the QB gets the ball out of his hand quick with a lot of deception will help the O-line greatly. They won't have to hold the line as long as they would with a drop back pro style QB.

Do we really think the change of scheme though will make that huge of a difference on the OL? I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it. We don't have the personnel in place for that. Our current OL are bigger guys meant for a power run game. Didn't the one junior college transfer not even make it to campus?
