The whole gory truth of how Texas politics has driven the Big 12

After reading about the 40th post on this subject, I've come to 4 conclusions.

1). We don't know if the Big 12 is expanding or if it will be 2 or 4 teams if they do.

2). We don't know what their criteria is exactly.

3) Teams are lobbying behind the scenes

4) We don't know who those teams will be. (Especially since they haven't even announced it and the season is 19 days away).

Every article seems to guesswork. Not even sure what is factual and what is not. Especially when it's put out by the media and not coming from the conference itself firsthand. The media
is just getting us either all excited or down about our chances. Just to write a story

It's so close to the season now, that I'm pretty sure that it's not happening for awhile and just concentrating on the upcoming season

I was always under the assumption that the vote wouldn't take place till the October board meeting.

The fact they are having more and more interviews suggests that they are still collecting data.

We are no where near an answer on this. It's going to be as long and drawn out as the Big East was.

Settle in for the long haul. Hopefully our team on the field rebounds and puts the 0-12 doubters to rest. We need a bowl bound season in this rebuilding year.

Media knows nothing. Click bait with speculation based on nothing more than the speculation of other click bait media articles.

It looks like this is a dead issue until that time at least.

UCF from what I have heard, has made its pitch, others are doing that right now. What will happen, will happen. Me fretting over it won't change it, So I am done fretting.

I hope so, because the last time it was a dead issue, they come out as pro-expansion just days later. So I'm just guessing the longer it looks like it will take, the faster it's getting done. Plus, those worried about 0-12 will still worry about 0-12 even if we go 10-3 or 11-2. "Yes they're 11-2, but just a year ago they were 0-12" or 2 years ago, or 3 years ago. It will never go away, so if it actually matters, then maybe we'll be ready for expansion 5 years from now.

5) As per our chances of joining, GOL giveth, GOL taketh away.

I keep hearing 0-12 means nothing. Again, no one knows for sure.
