Look, I know they're freshmen. I know that the tools around them are pretty terrible right now. I know the play calling sucks. But despite all that, I was expecting more. Some type of potential, especially against Furman. Instead, I see terrible decision making, poor accuracy, and staring down receivers. It feels like we have to choose between Rob Calabrese and Rob Calabrese, with a sprinkling of Rob Calabrese in there. I honestly don't see them becoming good QBs unless we get some better coaching in here. How the heck did we have Blake Bortles develop?!?!

They are both significantly better than Cal. question.

The play calling made the resemblance but they are way better.

It's not just Bo and Tyler that were freshmen out there; some of those offensive linemen blocking for them were freshmen, too. I don't know if Blake Bortles could have played effectively with this line in front of him. To be fair to the o-line, though, Bo and Tyler also made some mistakes that could've been avoided, such as the interceptions and holding on to the football too long at times.

I hear ya. The OL isn't helping them either. Except for Patti (who is a transfer), we are now playing all underclassman at the qb, wr and rb positions. It's brutal to watch. The qb position is everything in college football, and I would agree that overspending to find someone who develops qb would be a top priority of mine, if i was the coach. Blake had a much better team around him, even in 2011 when he first played. Here's a smattering of the guys starting on that team: quincy mcduffie, josh robinson, kemal ishmeal, aj guyton, brynn harvey, latavious murray, charley hughlett. Several of these guys got chances or are still playing in the nfl. The team was mainly juniors and sophmores.

Blake redshirted (Bo is a true Freshmen)
Blake had top RB's (NFL talent) and a pretty good OL most years
Blake had one of the deepest/most experienced WR cores in the country with some NFL talent.
Blake's QB Coach was Charlie Taaffe.
UCF came into this year with the fewest experienced WR in the country and the top returning receiver from last year (Akins) who just 12 receptions, who turned into a top target this year, blew out his knee on the first play vs Furman and is now out for the season.
Bo's QB Coach is Danny Barrett.

Losing Holman hurts bigtime...but now is the time for Bo and Tyler to gain valuable regular season experience...as Holman might get hurt again, let alone 2016 season will be Holman's last so those young QB's still have time to develop/improve.

They clearly have it tougher than Jeff, Blake and even Holman had it last year. I think everyone is missing that fact right now.

Our QBs are severely handicapped by the limited experience out there ... and it's only gotten thinner!

You mean as if we threw Blake Bortles into the fire at some point when Jeff Godfrey got hurt? Flashes of brilliance followed by a pair of picks. ;)

Even Jeff scrambled for a lot of his yards in his first game, which was against NC State too.

A lot of the "Garbage Men," even some of those they helped recruit to their thinking, are making fun of me. But I'm not an idiot. I remember all those games. I was there, including a lot of away games too.

so thats 5 good NFL players..3 on defense. This UCF team has 5 guys on roster that will end up playig in NFL too.
