Perhaps he's nervous about a coaching staff who has a team on the downhill and who probably won't be around in another 2 years? Yeah, I guess I'd de-commit as well. Ugh.

Seems more like a situation where it was a combo of Troy being closer to him (only 2.5 hours from his hometown) and a better chance for him to start sooner with us currently having 2 highly touted freshmen QBs.

Wheels falling off. This was my fear that things spiral out of control before we can fix them.

This is great news! We have too many QBs for years. Let's use this scholarship to recruit another position.

Perhaps we could recruit some legitimate pass rushers since anyone who can rush the QB is welcome to strap on pads and start this Saturday from what I've seen so far. One of only 7 teams in FBS with zero sacks through two games.

I'm sure it's about wins and losses because Troy is such a powerhouse! What a stupid post.

and a irrelevant program. I'm pretty sure he was more worried about competing against 2 young QB's. I want us to start stacking up players in other positions at this point. I think Bo will be good.

Fire the coach, staff and school pres. Shut the program down. One 17 year old changed his mind on where he wants to play. Nomother program has ever had this happen before.

This is a stupid post. He isn't going to choose Troy because UCF lost a game to FIU and because UCF's starting QB got hurt. Makes no sense. He also had offers from Air Force Mississippi State, etc but chose Troy. Wow that post was dumb.

Normally not supposed to put Dungeon stuff in here...but just to shut up you negative Nancies who have your panties in a wad...Brandon contacted him and it came down to two things.

He wanted to be closer to home and he is a spread offense QB. He basically said he got overly excited about the recruiting process and realized that he didn't think he would be a good fit for UCF's pro style offense.

Translation: UCF is a train-wreck and I don't want to be involved with a program that is losing to teams like FIU. At least at Troy we are on the same level as FIU so the outcome of a game with them is not guaranteed.

Read the articles from when he committed to us. He was our "#1 QB target". Why would we target someone that doesn't fit with our system? He left because he see's Troy as having a better future then UCF and that is just sad, sad, sad...and true, unfortunately. GOL has brought us down to a level below Troy. Welcome to the I-AA days all over again.

This has to be one of the most over the top, stupid statements I have ever read. Congratulations on your accomplishment!:boom:[banana]

No worries. There will be more to come

A great pick of the nut huggers pointing and celebrating GOL's contract extension.

Nope. Let me clarify. It's of the new UCF radical extremists ;-). Here's another for ya. Looks like the number in here is presently 3-5, so you're outnumbered by the good guys.

I feel like this kid sticks around if Holman doesn't get hurt. He would be coming in as another young QB to compete for 2017, but now that Schneider is getting a ton of actual game reps and knows he'll be at a big disadvantage.

C-Mont, if Sawyer Smith truly felt the way that you theorize he's feeling, then why didn't he write us off after losing to UConn, who was just as bad if not worse than FIU last season? I'm sure you will have a theory-based, non-factual response to this question very shortly.

Translation: C-MontCityKnight2 is just yet another of many posters who has to be completely negative, on-a-whim, about everything and anything, to the point that no logical conversation, no fact-based or checked information, no authoritative responses, will do.

We're all not just nuthuggers and apologists. We're just far more tactful and make fact-based statements.

I don't understand some of you. I mean, you just love to pile on all sorts of trash, instead of sticking with the things that far more reality, have far more proof behind them, and actually do -- in some cases -- make a case against GoL continuing. But instead, you just shoot-from-the-hip and spin everything negative, to the point it's overload and cannot result in any logical, objective conversation.

All while you turn around and call us GoL lovers, nuthuggers and believe we were behind promoting Key too.

What other facts could you possibly need? His record speaks for itself.

His last 5 were far better than his first 5. You continue to refuse to acknowledge the program he inherited ... and expected him to perform just as good those first 5 years as a solid P5 program!

I took you on a full tour of your non-sense in several threads ... which you continue to refuse to respond to, constantly "jumping" from example (quickly broken) to example (broken just as fast). Your logic is way, way off-the-reservation. And then you just fall back to calling us GoL nuthuggers, casting a broad net, throwing us in with Bianchi, others.

I fully admit I like how GoL runs the program off-the-field, that is an open bias I fully admit to, and never hide it. But you don't seem to realize I have been critical of him on-the-field, but always very, very specific, calculated and relevant. I'm just not going loading up on the garbage like you are. Why? Again ... because your logic is so far out from left field that your expectations are unreal.

I thing I have admitted is that I would like us to have a 17 year winning season run like Boise. At the same time, you have also failed to admit that that streak starts from well before GoL even got here, and he cannot expect to have done as much ... things even Boise took over a decade of winning seasons before even they accomplished them.

So when you would like to return to reality, and actually recognize it and not keep using non-sense that only applies to an established, P5 program, I'll gladly take you seriously. Until then, every time you post that garbage, let alone your "examples" that are unrealistic, I'll call you out on them. Be specific and not just loading up a pile of trash that just reeks of "argumentative" to an extreme.

Okay, for all the huggers put there, please enlighten us on when it is time for GOL to go. Please use cold, hard facts and be specific. Is it after we lose to Furman? Is it multiple bowl-less seasons? Is it more dead players? Is it more assistants leaving? Is it sub-30,000 actual paid attendance? Please let us know so we can hold you huggers accountable.

I have no problem being accountable.

You have to look at multiple seasons....not a single season. If we are not bowl eligible this year and next year, we need to look for someone new. Especially next year since our inexperienced players this year will be next years experienced players.

The comments about assistants leaving and dead players is ridiculous and borderline offensive. Assistants leave every football program in the country on a routine basis. Most assistants that leave UCF are leaving to go to P5 programs where they will be getting paid more and have more opportunity for career advancement.

Your "dead players" comment is a cheap shot. O'Leary himself was not found to be personally at fault for what happened to Plancher, and you should damn well know that. I don't know if you're trolling or serious or what, but you need to go find another program to associate yourself with. Anyone who would welcome you to any UCF event would be making a big mistake.

This stupid ass basically is now calling GOL a murderer and will be responsible for "more dead players." Is this the type of fan that we want associated with out program? No!

Go follow a freaking other program if you are so unhappy. You are CLEARLY not a fan. No fan of UCF would make such an irresponsible, callous, and false statement towards the coach of our program under any circumstances.

You have lost all credibility and nothing that you could say in my mind or the mind of other posters it appears can be taken seriously at this point. Go away!

The owner/publisher of this site, Brandon, seems maybe unintentionally, encourage this troll, to drum up conversation on the open board, something no other rivals.com would ever do, especially with the crap that the poster is spewing.

If you want to know why trolls like this person are allowed to spew everything and anything, maybe just contact Brandon (helwig2001@aol.com), to find out why.

When did I ever say that? You drew your own conclusion. However, we did have a player die while GOL was CEO. CEOs routinely step down (or are forced out) when there is controversy on their watch. Why is GOL immune to that?

Also, if you want to know why trolls like K_L are allowed to spew everything and anything, maybe just contact Knight_Light directly at (407)425-7571, to find out why. I'm sure Brandon appreciates you posting his personal email address, just as much as you appreciate me posting your home phone number.
Dude you have lost it.

Looking at these threads most people have 5,000 or less posts. One person has 95,462 posts! Holy cow man. That's an average of 19 posts a day.
