Join Eric Lopez and Trace Trylko as they debate some of the current topics surrounding UCF Athletics. In this episode, the guys continue their preview of UCF Football fall camp based on the first week and a half of practice. What things have stood out, and where is there concern?

The guys also dive into the new landscape of College Football, which includes further expansion with the Big 12 and the possible end of the Pac 12.

Plus: Should UCF be in the Top 25, Is Scott Frost welcome here, and is a missed extra point one of the worst moments in UCF Football history?

Chuck Ariz St out, they are run by a moron who seems hell bent on treating the Big XII as a joke.

But, a ranking of 22 currently in recruiting (yes probably will change) makes it real easy to ignore any idiot.

Every conference needs that over-promising, under-performing program that even outsiders hate.

I mean, every conference needs its usf equivalent.

May post a poll to get the pulse of fans on Frost. I never soured on him. TT
I never understood the souring on him either or the accusations about “scrubbing the recruiting database”, which never seemed to be substantiated. That last part seemed more like a Josh Huepel excuse for recruiting poorly. Players mostly want to play for coaches and their schemes anyways, each coaching staff should have their own recruiting preferences to fit their scheme I would think. Besides, doesn’t 247 have a pretty good data base of offers? Just a poor excuse and a really weird reason to dislike him. Also a color of a shirt he wore is a reason people hate him, just ppl wanting to find ways b/c he left. Meanwhile he took us from 0-12 to 6-7 and 13-0. Gave us all the best season ever and brought us some of our favorite players. He brought uniforms, recruits, new/fresh uniform combos, “UCFast”, made UCF cool, exciting offense and most importantly KZ.

Over the past 24 hours, Ass St has been walking back the comments, so sound more like they might embrace the conference.

The funny part is the president was a college athlete at……Iowa St

2017 was integral to our BigXII invite I think . It was one piece of the puzzle . It help cement our brand. We owe Frost for that , and George Oleary as well. Frost had a lot to work with when he got here. As far as our new conference goes , it's what ever. I am thrilled as a fan and season ticket holder we are in the BigXII , but I wish we had a couple more schools east . UCF is truly the outlier here at least it feels like it.

Been listening to XM 84 college sports nation and several of those talking heads say ultimately it will consolidate to the Super 2 and then the rest . If that is true , UCF needs to be competitive relatively quickly. none of those guys predicted a time line for that to happen though . Then again they didn't see the Pac being picked apart either . I found it funny though on the Full Ride show they pretty much lay the blame on Texas and the SEC for the demise of the Pac 12. Texas has been the destroyer of conferences past and they continue to do so . 😆. If the SEC doesn't invite OU and Texas the dominoes don't fall which includes UCF moving up.

Where's the 30 for 30 on The Longhorn Network?! TT

Have every right to sour on Frost, but as the years pass he really falls into the who cares and if he just stayed he would have got a Lasting P5 job category, so the joke's on him.

He'll end up somewhere, the Akrons of this world will always need a HC.

No. We want to go back to the AAC where you win 25 games in a row and still get dissed. Oh yeah, we want to get paid significantly less as well.

The Dungeon stirred up a lot of the Frost animosity.

I have made some jokes too with all the crushing losses at Nebraska but the level of hate I have seen from some fans is too much. You would think that he led us to the death penalty.

I believe if Frost wasn’t hired and didn’t recruit Milton we are probably still in the Group of 5 in three weeks.

There were a couple guys in here who made Nebraska posters in here his personal enemy and called them liars. Once it was found to be true he turned his hatred to Frost. Very vocal t shirt fan that rarely comes in here now.

People lash out at others when they get rejected. It is human nature. I understood him leaving, and have no doubt he knows he made the wrong decision for the right reasons. That said we have no idea if his success here would have continued.

Not to go OT, but I do believe any UCF coach -- had it still been Frost or now, with Malzahn -- will be facing MORE challenges than they did in the AAC. Yes, Frost led UCF to a big win against Auburn. I'm never going to take anything away from the Knights for pulling that off. But playing a schedule full of stronger competition is a different deal. Every conference has its fair share of play-maker studs. The difference -- IMO -- is the line play on both sides of the ball.

THAT is going to be a determining factor in how well UCF does in the Big XII
. The Knights' new conference opponents, in general, are going to field stouter lines and play better defense.

I do like the new Big XII, but there has to be some a regular occurrence of National Title Game appearances with a win in such at least every 4 or 5 years by they conference. If it's just getting the conference champ in the so-called playoffs every year, but with an early exit every time, then it will be dismissed and patted on the head.

Eric Lopez is the most-informed fat ass on the planet. It is an absolute joy to listen to him.
Yeah, he’s great. I think I mistook his name for the younger skinny dude the Sons have on staff. That guy seems very uninformed, Eric Lopez on the other hand crushes.
