Thursday Night Temple at ECU

Ill be rooting for Temple. I rewatched the whole game against UCF last night and that RB Shahad seems like the real deal. I cant wait for them to play Norte Dame in two weeks or whenever.

like these Thursday overlapping double headers with a West Coast game
I watched the Thursday Houston destroyed SMU with Southern Cal/Stanford in between during halftime.
If it wasnt for the ending of Michigan/Michigan State, that Stanford double flea flicker and the catch behind the defenders back would be the highlight play of the week.

I guess as a conference we want Temple to win. I'd be impressed if they beat @ECU. Go Owls!

yes, that ending of Mich-MichyState was crazy. I watched that whole game. What a way to lose.

Look at it this way. ECU already has a signature win this year against Va Tech - five straight over the ACC. Temple is in the Top 25 and next week they host Norte Dame...talk about biggest game in the programs history. If Memphis and Temple are undefeated, thats a possible Top 15 matchup. Thats what you get for winning your games against P5 teams and staying undefeated.

ECU is leading Temple at the half. Temple needs to step it up if they want to improve the marquee of their match up with the Fighting Irish next week.

not a bad summer deal for that Temple WR. Knight Library in the Summer, beating the Knights in the Fall

He was actually supposed to go to Florida Tech, but he really wanted to come back to Temple, and credit to him, he did what he needed to re-enroll.

2nd week in a row that Temple was losing at the start of the 4th Q (was losing 16-14 last week to UCF).

ECU, as a -3 home dog, was shutout in the 2nd half...as Temple blocked not one but 2 punts...the 2nd one clinched the game for Temple. who scored 2 TD's in the closing mins of the game to win 24-10.

ECU had 2 turnovers and had 2 punts blocked....Temple, playing a conservative style of play overall, had zero.

Ok sure we held a 16-14 lead into the fourth quarter but seriously did anyone think Temple would lose?
That said ECU is no slouch. Usually G5 programs struggle to beat P5 teams regardless of their overall record, especially when UCF is one of the top programs. Yet ECU seems to be exception to it all, winning 5 straight against the ACC. Good win for Temple and best of luck to them for the rest of the year.
