If we're being honest, I think nobody expected UCF to beat Stanford. Maybe we expected a better game but then Holman went down and the game was essentially over from the start.
What absolutely stings EVERYONE is the fact that we're 0-2 with a loss to FIU. If we were 1-1 I don't think anyone would really mind or be upset. It's also not unreasonable to EXPECT to be 1-1 right now. The fact that we're not sits entirely with GOL and Key; they utterly failed and may have cost us a bowl season.
We now must go 6-4 the rest of the way just to make a bowl game, with a Freshman QB, and a team full of guys that currently look really shaky. And during a year in which the AAC looks pretty good. In other words, it's most likely that we have a losing record at a time when we really can't afford one.
That FIU loss absolutely killed us.
